What makes a Democrat?
I am a Liberal Democrat.
I feel strongly about both parts of that label - and I'd like to take some time to talk through why.
I've heard people say that Democrats don't stand for anything, or don't have a platform. I've also seen a lot of people attack Democrats, from the Left and Right, either for not doing enough, or going too far.
I'd like to take some time to talk through that. Every week, on Friday, from now until at least Election Day, I'm going to pick a single issue, and talk through how each party approaches that issue and why I side the way I do.
Maybe this will start some fights, maybe it will help offer some perspective. Or both.
